2) "Conquest: History of the Khulafaa" by Almaghrib Institute

February 13-15 and 20-22 in Houston, TX
March 12-14 and 19-21 in Fairfax, VA

* I'll be going to the one that's in March punya insha Allah. Is anyone interested in joining us? :)

3) MSA National Central Zone Conference (April 9th-11th)
This is going to take place alongside Spring Camp at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The program is still being worked on but a film festival, speakers such as Dawud Wharnsby Ali and Rami Nashashibi, and a lot of cool MSA workshops are set to make this the best Central Zone conference ever! Save the date and more information to come as we setup registration, develop our website, and invite more speakers. I think this year MSA will offer a prize for the both the Illinois and outside Illinois chapter that brings the greatest proportion of their members to the conference!

4) "Prophets, Prophecy, and the Unseen"
by The Nawawi Foundation
Dr Umar Faruq `Abd-Allah and Shaykh Hamza Yusuf
http://www.nawawi.org/courses/events.html
April 17-18 (location tbd)

5) MSA Conference - (May 28th-30th)
This conferene is going to take place in the heartland: St. Louis, Missouri. This conference will be held parallel to ISNA's Central Zone conference. More information will soon be coming out on this conference. Many speakers have already confirmed and we're developing our MSA committee right now. We would love to have you involved!

6) MSA conference - (July 2nd-July 4th)
What better place to spend you're Independence Day weekend then in the Lone Star state. Okay, so there may be a few better places, but nonetheless this conference was a huge success last year drawing almost 400 MSA students and became the largest MSA conference in Central Zone. This is also a parallel conference to ISNA's Southcentral regional conference. I went to last year's program, it was really neat!

7) MAS-ICNA Conventions
Held over independence day weekend (4th of July) and xmas weekend (locations tbd)

8) 7th annual ALIM
Summer Program for Islamic Studies
http://www.alimprogram.com/programs/isl_home.shtml
July 26 - August 22 at Madonna University, Livonia, MI

9) Ar-Rihlah Summer Program by Deen Intensive
July-August at Dar Al-Islam in Abiquiu, NM(no exact dates and location yet)
http://www.deen-intensive.com/programs/rihla_2003.htm (last year's)

9) Others

- A host of ISNA conferences in various locations: st louis, rochester, dallas, chicago, and los angeles
http://www.isna.net/conferences/default.asp

- intensive retreat in the adirondack mountains with shaykh mukhtar maghroui - our compadres in troy would probably have the best source with regard to this event
